01. Meet With Us
We will meet with you at a time and place that is convenient for you. We will discuss the circumstances of your desire for Australian citizenship and how we will go about making the application on your behalf.
02. Review Your Information
We will review information supplied by you. We may also need some paperwork to confirm the information you have provided to us. We will consider the immigration law that applies to your case and determine whether you have a valid opportunity to seek Australian citizenship.
03. Commence Drafting Application for Australian Citizenship
We will gather all the information required for you to apply for Australian citizenship. The application will need to be signed by you.
04. Lodge Application for Australian Citizenship and Prepare You for Citizenship Test (if applicable)
When the application is completed, we will lodge it with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Unfortunately the processing time is out of our control. We will also prepare you for the citizenship test if applicable. The citizenship test will ask you questions about Australia and our history.
05. Review Outcome of Australian Citizenship Application and Determine Next Steps
If the family visa application is approved, your family member will be able to come and live in Australia. If it is rejected, there may in some cases be an opportunity to dispute the rejection in a Court or Tribunal. If this happens, we will advise you as to whether we think you have a chance of succeeding if we dispute the decision. You and your family member can then decide how you would like to go forward.
