Review your information

We will review information supplied by you. We may also need some paperwork to confirm the information you have provided to us. We will consider the immigration law that applies to your case and determine whether you have a valid opportunity to seek Australian citizenship.


Commence drafting application for Australian citizenship

We will gather all the information required for you to apply for Australian citizenship. The application will need to be signed by you.


Lodge application for Australian citizenship and prepare you for citizenship test (if applicable)

When the application is completed, we will lodge it with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Unfortunately the processing time is out of our control. We will also prepare you for the citizenship test if applicable. The citizenship test will ask you questions about Australia and our history.


Review outcome of Australian citizenship application and determine next steps

If your application for Australian citizenship is approved, you will be able to attend a citizenship ceremony and make the Australian Citizenship Pledge. If it is rejected, we will advise you as to whether we think you have a chance of succeeding if we dispute the decision. You can then decide how you would like to go forward.
